I just wanted to give you the heads up and let you know that I'm officially on a new blog and I'm really excited about the change. Thanks my to my wife Chelsea who moved everything over while I was gone this past weekend I can now enjoy the great features of blogspot!

Come check it out!

{Needtobreathe} Photo Shoot

I wish so bad I could show you all the images from my shoot I just did with a band called Needtobreathe but I can't until the album comes out sometime this fall. It was an amazing day and we got so much great stuff from it. I shot a lot of film, polaroids and of course digital. It's been one of my favorite shoots I've done! And if you haven't heard of these guys go listen to em and go to a show if they're coming to your home town!

Here's a polaroid from the day! Check back in a few months to see the final images.

{Our New Home}

It was a big day for Chelsea and I yesterday! We bought a beautiful home in Nashville and we're so excited! We can't wait for the new memories we'll share together and also with family and friends! More images to come once we move in!

{Tec Petaja vs. Christian Rios} Click-OFF

A few weeks back I went to LA for a week to shoot the summer, fall and winter collection for TOMS Shoes (Images to come). While I was there a good friend/photographer Christian Rios was so kind to assist me while I shot and drive me everywhere I needed to go! TOMS put us up on a beautiful sailboat for the week and so that's when the thought came to our minds.... Click-Off. It's kinda like a dance-off but better. So Christian got Steve Yatsko, a good friend/model to come and help us out.

It was so fun because one of us had to stay in a room while the other one shot Steve outside on the deck. We used the same camera, had the same clothes and no lighting was involved.

Now, the problem is that we don't know who won the Click-Off so that's where you need to come in and vote. Just leave a comment and after a week we'll know who the winner is. And everyone needs to go look at Christian's work because he has such a gift and his work continue to inspire me. Have fun and enjoy the images!

{Jalousie Plantation} St. Lucia

For the last few days I've been visiting and working on an incredible island called St. Lucia. Yesterday I shot a wedding here and Friday I'll be leaving so I had to leave a little room to play! It's been a great experience meeting new people, eating new foods, exploring the island and of course soaking up the sun! Oh and you must visit the resort I'm staying at. I love it here.

Here are a few images I shot off today while exploring. And don't worry, there's lots more to come when I arrive back home. Enjoy!

{Amanda and Abner Ramirez}

I'm so excited to finally be posting this beautiful wedding! Amanda and Abner got married on March 21st at Amanda's beach home in Manasota Keys. It was was a gorgeous day full of lots of love and laughter with close family and friends experiencing it all with them. Thank you to Sandy Rule Events for coordinating everything, Oh My Deer for the beautiful hairpieces, Michael's on East for catering, Chocolate pi for the amazing cake, Monique lhuillier for the dress, and last but not least...Louis vuitton for his personal touch on Amanda's shoes.

Thank you to everyone for such a great wedding and thank you to Amanda and Abner for letting me experience it with them. Enjoy!

{Amanda and Abner Ramirez} Rehearsal Dinner

I've been extremely excited to show off one of my favorite couples I've shot! A few weeks back I flew down to Sarasota and got to be a part of a very special wedding. The rehearsal dinner took place on one of Marina Jack's dinner boats which cruised during the sunset. It was small and intimate and exactly what the couple wanted.

I can't wait to show you the wedding but for now please enjoy a few shots from the rehearsal dinner.

{ Giovanni Diaz }

Today I had the privilege of working with Giovanni who was so fun and a great model to shoot. Jordan Byers was there styling and doing make-up. Thank you guys for a good little shoot!

Enjoy.

I'm sure for those of you who come to my blog have been wondering why I disappeared. Its been a while since I've posted anything and that's because I've been doing a little bit of traveling, shooting and moving into a new studio. Its been a busy but enjoyable last of couple months and I've enjoyed the calm before the storm! My wedding season will officially start back up in two weeks with my first wedding in Sarasota, Florida shooting a beautiful couple at their family's beach house. I really can't wait. But for now please enjoy the update on my commercial site.

{ Nate Yetton } Sensibility Music

Last week I had a blast shooting with Nate Yetton whose the founder of Sensibility Music. His unique style was so enjoyable to work with and I would say he did pretty good for his first shoot! Thanks Nate and thanks Talitha for styling it!

Enjoy!

{ www.tecpetajaphoto.com } Old & New

For the past week I've been going through weddings from last year and picking new images for my site. Well today I've gone live with new images scattered throughout my website. Take a gander and enjoy the new stuff!

Thanks for the love and suport.

{ eHarmony } Pete and Melissa

Back in December I shot a wedding in Nashville, Tennessee. It was a
small intimate wedding and the couple was so beautiful and sweet. I
had the wonderful opportunity to have my wife from Oh My Deer style it, so the details were fun and they gave a special touch to the wedding.

Recently, I've had the privilege of working with Project Weddings
(they get about 16,000 hits a day!) who has became a strategic partner of eHarmony. They've featured Pete and Melissa's wedding for the week and I want the world to see it! So please, go visit Project Weddings website and enjoy!

{ Karen and Kenny } Tulum Mexico-Part Two

Yesterday I posted some of Karen and Kenny's rehearsal dinner. They were all details and so now you get to see their beautiful wedding. Thanks Mel

Enjoy!

{ Karen and Kenny } Tulum Mexico-Part One

Last Fall (yes I'm a bit late on the post!) I had the wonderful opportunity to join my good friend Mel Barlow in Tulum, Mexico where we shot the beautiful Karen and Kenny. This is just part one of the post I'll be doing. The wedding was beautiful with lots and lots of details and I'm excited to show you the wedding so come back for more!

Enjoy some of my rehearsal details.
